Soulflower Thursdays call for Group Discussions where we plug in newer, better ideas for you and your personal care. This time interestingly, one of our recently added team member shared her journey from her hometown Rajasthan to the city of Mumbai. Just joined a week back, while discussing about hair problems, she told us how that journey was accompanied by getting her long locks chopped into a bob. The Soulflower addition to it, came to us as a grateful surprise. Here is a small bit from her note:
“If you told me two years ago that I’d chop my hair, I would have laughed and called you crazy. “I’ve never had a haircut since 3rd grade” I’d yell. A town that I come from, Rajasthan, where long hair is considered to be a matter of pride. I am a long hair person, from a long hair family with years of long hair pictures and a line of shampoos & conditioners to prove it. I was always proud of my thick, black, shiny locks. They ran down my back like a musical note. Fast forward to the time when I was sitting in a salon in Mumbai, telling the hairdresser to ‘Just get rid of it.’ What followed was a spree of cries. Today when I look back, I recall how I had to prepare myself for more than a month for the drastic change.
The reasons were so many, my fingers fall short counting them. The change began when I moved to the fast-paced life of Mumbai. Called b-town, it’s known for the bad sweaty climate and pollution. If Rapunzel lived here, I’m sure she would have gotten tired too! Managing hair and its health is a very big task when one is running for a job, college, public transports, and always out of time. There’s always a thin line before one gives up and boy, did I give up too? Absolutely. Within 6 months of moving, my hair was a complete mess. My morning routine including cringing over the bunch of hair on my pillow. Hair washes became a nightmare and every day was a bad hair day. I kept on changing shampoos like jumping stones and when I spoke about my 99 problems, all of them were my hair. Dandruff, itchy scalp, split ends, hairfall, greasy hair, grey hair, I had a looong list. I hated looking at my hair. Till the time I went to a hair salon and got all of them chopped off.
I wish there was someone back then to tell me solutions so that I could keep my long, shiny mop of hair but I was unfortunate. To my surprise, my problems didn’t end even after the dreadful haircut. The problems continued and I was so disheartened.
I don’t know how lucky I was to stumble upon the miraculously working Soulflower hair products. Almost when I lost all my hopes of getting a good mop back, I started my journey as a member of the Soulflower family and I cannot be thankful enough to all they do. Working there, as I got to know more about them, I started using the products and they worked wonders on both my hair and skin. I was hopeful again. The best part? All the products are 100% pure & natural. With no harmful chemicals touching me, I could finally say goodbye to damage and bad hair days. You’d think I’m bragging but these are no lies. I recently started using Soulflower Onion Herbal Hair Oil and have never been more satisfied with anything. There are no morning cries anymore. My hair looks healthy after almost 2 years and I cannot be thankful enough. This Hair Oil is a new addition to Soulflower Product Family and is everything I had been waiting for. It is infused with natural sulfur-rich extracts along with a blend of 20 herbs and essential oils. Each performs a different function, imparting an all-nutrition support. It is enriched with Ratanjot Herb that works brilliantly in slowing down and preventing premature hair greying. It stopped my black locks turning into salt and pepper thin strands. My mom always suggested me to use onions on the scalp to promote hair growth and improve the volume of hair. But she knows my fast life and how messy and tiring a home remedy gets. Plus the pungent onion smell was a big no-no. With Soulflower Onion Herbal Oil it feels like my hair is back in my mom’s hand and in the best health.” Soulflower takes the best care of you, so your skin and hair feel the warmth and love of nature.
